In some ways not. He realised his feelings fast, and was smart enough not to straight up confess he loves him but rather said it's to pay for his generosity. He's stupid in the way he thinks jk is being kind to him but that can be attributed to the fact his life has always been gutter low and whatever jk showed him became kindness
