Not to mention his fans are insufferable. Dude is childish (way too childish for a 20 y/o) and mean, he has never smiled or said nice things to Yuki yet he claims to like her.

like you can like oushi ig but don't claim that oushi is just a sweet guy and that yuki secretly fucking likes him or some random bs
he's been very clearly written to be a mean/bad character, obviously you can like those types of characters but you're taking all of that away if you brush it off and paint him up as some saint who does no wrong

I’m actually not sure that he’s written to be a bad character due to the fact the main couple keep saying he is mean but not a bad person and the ML doesn’t want to make him cry.

i dont think hes the root of all evil or anything lol but i think its clear that we the reader/watcher aren't supposed to agree with his actions
I agree but also I think we are supposed sympathize with him bc the lesson of the manga as a whole is sympathize and meeting ppl where they are at

I rlly wish oushi had kept his old mindset of wanting to not be indifferent to Yuki, and to protect her, not deprive.
I think he wanted to shield her from and hurt, but with that as he grew also shield her from things far beyond just pain, such as life.
His goals seem pure, but the way he himself characterizes and acts upon them really contradicts that and makes him a really unlikable character
He isn't terrible, but he isn't any good if he doesn't change his attitude towards Yuki and how she chooses to live her life, which i think he will, such as emma (Emma's whole thing isn't as deep but shes also working on smth new for herself :3)
