JK IS ABOUT TO GET SHIT ON SO HARD I CAN FEEL IT

Also to people bitching about the predictable plot...well duh. LOL. You can't have someone start off as the hugest asshole in the world and expect the readers not to be excited for his fall and inevitable redemption. We knew what we were getting into and we're looking forward to it.

In Bj Alex, Jiwon had to work for it quite a bit and he wasn't even nearly the asshole this man is, so I'm really excited for how bad jk better be groveling at Dan's feet.

A story can have a redemption arc without being THAT predictable. Everything is super cliche in every ways. Of course people want a bit of cliche (such as the redemption trope) but this story is objectively badly written. There's literally no depth at all. EVERYTHING is predictable. Like, literally everything. It’s only porn with all the possible stereotypes in yaoi, all reunited together in one story. If the art wasn’t that magnificent, people would actually realize how bad the story is. And it’s really a shame cause there was actually so much potential.

I completely agree with you. The art is the only thing that keeps people reading it, otherwise it would’ve been forgotten waaaaaaaaay before.

(To me, sincerely speaking, the only thing that matters and makes me come back is to know what’ve happened to potato. It’s been a while since we’ve seen him!! What about Mr. Choi? Excitement at maximum!!! Just hope that between those two, the relationship is better. Fingers crossed ヾ(☆▽☆) )

I feel like that was to be expected though? I honestly don't even see where the potential was considering the very start of this was a sweet boy in severe debt and the world's biggest rich asshole who picked him up and abused him– it was extremely shitty and cliche from the very first chapter, it's just that it has a few interesting characters and gorgeous art so even though it's cliche, we're here at every chapter to eat it all up even if the concept has been chewed up and spit out a hundred times– clearly all those cliches are still effective.

Oh so then we totally agree ! Haha. As I said, it’s okay to have some cliche, there’s some tropes that I’ll never get tired of and they’re really really cliche. But just because the tropes are overused doesn’t mean that the story in itself has to be that shitty yk. They’re some really good yaoi with overused tropes and they’re sooo good tho. Like, I think it’s natural as a reader to have expected more, to have believed that it was purposefully very very shitty at the beginning just to break all the rules, at some point, to create something actually interesting and original. You know, as if the author had tricked us into believing that the story would be shitty but actually it’s not. It could have been original if the mc had broken at least one stereotype (such as him having the biggest character development with the biggest confidence boost or if he had gone berserk because of his shitty life and shitty situation but this mf is literally incapable of anger lmao). So yeah, I think many readers are still expecting the actual change but the more we read it the more cliche it gets, the least original it is and the expectations of having something more interesting or a bit more different or juuuuust a little bit deeper, simply fade away little by little. And at some point there’s this acceptance that it wasn’t a trick and YES, the author ACTUALLY wrote the shittiest story ever. And NO it’s not a joke. By the end of it, many people will stay for either the art, the drawings, the second couple, or pure curiosity as how it could get any worse. And there will be a very few of them that will still have expectations (they’re delusional).

But I definitely get what you’re saying, I think it’s kinda like the movie “red white and royal blue”, it’s only cliches with overused tropes, yet the movie is actually enjoyable and entertaining. But I don’t personally believe that Jinx is enjoyable lmaooooo it’s just frustrating.

I enjoy watching the shittiest of shit characters fall HARD and then grovel to the angels they originally shit on so I'm staying bc I'm genuinely excited for the groveling and character development HAHAHA
I think the reason I'm not upset is because I knew from the start where this story was heading and was ready for it but I think that if there were expectations in the beginning, I could see how upset you'd be now!
Ofc I do love unique and refreshing stories, I think Legs That Won't Walk would be a good example of a way cliches played out more originally, but I chose this one expecting to be in it for the long haul LOL
