Yeah, this part of the plot is a little annoying and unnecessary.
I think it’s the guilt of ending an “innocent” life that he felt responsible for. Chu didn’t cause harm, and he was attached to Rix. So killing him felt wrong, even if it meant good overall. Still feels like an “oh well such is life” moment to me. But Rix seems to take things so freaking hard.
Well, girl, a pet is a pet, no matter what it is even if you don’t agree. You might not have any feelings or attachment to something when someone else does stop your yapping damn and why are u talking like this plot has dragged on for like 10 chapters or some thing it’s been like an easy four maybe even three like no patience, head ass.

Anyone else annoyed with this chu plot? Like, imagine if someone was able to get rid of all mosquitos. Great! But oh nooo someone has been keeping a single mosquito as a pet… so now we must be sad the mosquitos are all dead, even though it means no more death and suffering.
And then imagine if the person keeping a mosquito as a pet was the prince of your whole kingdom that has basically dedicated his life to protecting people. But I guess his mosquito pet was too high a price to pay to save his kingdom??? womp womp
