they’re there to prevent the automatic upload of horrible machine translations from other sites like zinchan. the people complaining about the placeholders when they can LITERALLY just ignore them cus it’s not that big of a deal r like the equivalent of someone going “i like riding cars but i hate seatbelts. if i have to use a seatbelt i will kill myself.” or “i hate these handrails. they promote safety for people using stairs but i hate them.” like how r u going to complain about someone going through the EXTRA work to make your fucking experience better…
