That's easy for you to say, but it is thing that is followed for generations in kabuki. Obviously they gotta change according to the current times, but sadly there are still many places in the world that don't accept adoption, surrogacy and homosexuality and even consider them as taboo. I definitely think the main issue isn't silly.
This "keeping things within the bloodline" bullshit is gonna kill Kabuki. If they're not willing to bet on outsiders and people who truly choose it instead of being born into it, it's all gonna crumble eventually.
Fr, just adopt people if you still need to keep families going. Their archaic rules are their own worst enemy.
