I think you're going around with the mindset "If it's not clearly for good intentions it's automatically malicious"
In Omegaverse male Omegas are still not built the same way women are if we're talking about hips. So when a male omega feels bad during pregnancy someone will say something like "even the people who are better suited to give birth to a big baby are feeling the same way as you"
It's like telling a new fitness enthusiast when they have muscles cramps and feel bad "Even professional athletes get muscles cramps"
Also I don't remember if it was mentioned in this manga but a lot of Omegaverse have the history of the alpha/omega traits being something new. So of course they'll again rely on non trait female humans as a guideline.
I definitely agree calling a males body parts is just unpleasant but I don't remember if this was the case in this manga.
All in all I hope you can relax a little and not nitpick every single sentence like they're meant to be a hate crime.
This manga is a really nice and positive read. Don't cast to the side 99.9 pages just to turn the whole piece into a hate crime because of one single sentence that irked you.
Also sometimes people are just stupid so:
Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

to clarify, i'm not turning this manga into a "hate crime", and I don't have the mindset that you speak of. I'm a writing major; I write stories in class and have been taught to critique others' (mine ofc is critiqued too). Especially in fictional stories, because it's made up, you have to watch out for the tiniest thing so that it aligns with the logic and rules of the world the author built. Not only that but you can say that I kind of minor in Linguistics (my univ's system is kinda complicated idk how to explain it), so every time I encounter a story with a made up world, I think of what sorts of mindsets or terms living in that kind of world would the people have, which is what I did in my original comment.
I made that comment based on how omegaverse stories appeal to me, which is that both men and women can get pregnant, and same sex love is justified through it because in the real world, that's essentially the argument people throw on the gay community: that their love is wrong because together they cant make a child. therefore, it didnt make sense to me that men are compared to women even in omegaverse stories, as I feel like there are numerous ways to say things like what mc said if they are living in that reality.
it didn't "irk" me; I just made an observation because as I said, it ruins the IMMERSION for me (although "ruin" is probably the word I shouldn't have used but rather "break" ), which personally, I think a fictional story shouldn't.
All in all I do agree with alpha and omega traits being changed with some of the stories on omegaverse, but I thought that's what the explanation pages are for and if not, its something the readers can pick up along the way, it's just in how the author would package it

I know what you mean. Anatomically it does makes sense to compare them (even women get compared to each other). But like in a society that beastmen exist, I can’t imagine how a pregnant man is somehow the oddity that needs to be focused on?
There’s also the fact that many of these writers have not considered how men would carry children (like how no one talks about periods) or the changes their bodies go though (many of them don’t ever get baby bumps). I think this is in part due to ignorance around pregnancy in general though
I also wonder why no one has done a plot that focuses on male omegas actually being protected, especially in countries with declining birth rates. Said countries will pay you to be procreate so I doubt they wouldn’t have protections and incentives accessible to omegas.

honestly i didnt even pay much thought to the coexistence of beastmen with humans because i have resigned the idea to myself that the primary target audience of mangas like these are to satisfy the desires of people part of the furry fandom, but i get what u meannn. idk if this is part of the oddities that you are thinking of, but again, like, the pregnancy itself of the man should be considered normal (bc alpha, beta, omega genders have long long been considered normal), but i was really looking for the reason why interracial couples were *kind of* looked down upon [uke i think mentioned that it was much more normal for beastmen to be with each other, and humans with other humans]. i thought the story was going to bring up problems on mixing of genetics, etc., even just to mention in passing, but they just likened it to conservative ethnicity preference, ex. Japanese preferring to be with other Japanese people.
For the pregnancy part, like you indicated, periods, I always thought that that was what the heat cycles were for. Omegaverse's version of menstruation were the heat cycles, although I do not know if women could still menstruate then get a heat cycle (though i imagine not, or both happen simultaneously). I agree on the ignorance around pregnancy, that it's not just sex, cravings, morning sickness, or baby bumps (that artists sometimes don't draw). there's no weight gain (including this one, he doesnt gain weight despite having a baby bump), no changing of the features (nose going big or "glowing up" bc of pregnancy), and these are just at the top of my head.
for your last point, i think the reason why no one's doing it is bc it's not really happening also? thats the reason i can come up with haha (although the more reason to manifest it in fiction i guess). like even in countries like south korea, or japan, preganancy-abled people (women) aren't even protected nor incentivized to get pregnant. like crimes among them are still continued with stalking, hidden cameras, sexual harrassments, and such, and omegas are similar to women in omegaverse mangas so........
yall, one thing i always notice in omegaverses is that the men are still compared to women and it just ruins the immersion for me. like this is a world where women and men can get pregnant so patriarchal sentiments shouldnt be reflected as much (for example saying things like, "your hole is like a "). i mean, i would understand in like pregnancy for instance if they compare men to women like women having more of an apt build for carrying a child, but not so much ya know? like, mc saying if this is how also women feel when theyre pregnant... i just think thats unnatural in the world of omegaverse bc BOTH men and women could do that. i know there's the case for betas but mc is an omega so i feel like his mindset on his capability of getting pregnant, he shouldve just taken it as something natural.
omegaverse manga editors need to do better fr
