I'm the same. And personally, I don't mind age gap, but Jin Joo is just... You meet someone her age and they still act dependent and unable to deal with life's problem like that. AND still having to rely on some girl much younger than her. She's indecisive and can't see that her husband is the problem?? And what is up with her lack of personality? So much thought bubbles and zero action to fix her issues.
I don't ship it. Even if the main girl does get with someone older, please let it be someone who is actually reliable and has their shit together. Honestly you’re so right though, I would have more respect for Jinjoo if she found out where her parents were and forced them to meet her to talk things out, instead she tried calling them, they didn’t pick up, and then she gave up.
I may be in the minority but I don’t ship it. I want to see Doyeon try with someone her age or two years older or younger. That’d be interesting too. She only let herself be vulnerable with Jinjoo because she displayed a deep loneliness Doyeon felt, Doyeon sees herself in Jinjoo, and it’s like filling Jinjoo’s loneliness is like filling her own. I want to see her be truly vulnerable with someone and let them in and love her.
