From my Understanding, in the beginning he Wanted to ruin her to be Broken just like him, but now he is really fond of her to the Point he started regretting his past. Now He wants to break his Curse to be With her, But there's still character development to be made, He is jealous, possessive
and Punishing the men around her. He hated her brother and turned him into a servant, Unrecognisable to her. She actually thinks about him sometimes but not as often, and she found their relationship (her and her brothers) very toxic. She is just happy she her love is reciprocated, and her confidence gets better and better. It honestly os very interesting if you ask me, If you can Take seeing them like that (naive and an asshole) I'd suggest you give it another shot.
