They definitely had that misunderstanding because of the unofficial translation. If you go back and look at chapter 1 unofficial translation, the MC says to his friend “isn’t that long haired guy the one you like” or something like that. I also was confused until the official translation was released.
oh yeah i was confused too, but rereading the official makes so much sense. basically mc’s friend like ml’s friend.
Someone really needs to write a summary for this webtoon... I read the one in the comments, where it is incorrectly written that MC sleeps with the guy his friend likes, even though this friend isn't interested in ML, but ML's friend...It put me off reading this webtoon for a good while because I really don't like that drama between friends.
