You do realize that you're reading a manga from a shoujo mangaka?
I think her artistic style is something she developed because of that.
There are quite a lot of bl mangas where even the girls look like guys just because of the art the mangaka pursues.
Mind you, shoujo mangakas draw proper manly males.
:D I know. But since there's a high usage of flowery, glittery screentones they seem more feminine -sometimes- I didn't speak about all mangas, mangakas or shoujo in general.
And btw, what are proper manly males even?
Opposite of girly ones.
