What does this comment refer to exactly? Like which chapter or part?

Because it could be envy, rather than jealousy, in that situation. Jealousy is caused by the fear of having something or someone taken away while envy is desiring what someone else has.

If you’re talking about that other young female Astariol, I personally think she’s envious of Lucy and her family’s relationship.

    If you’re not talking about that… Oh well. Haha ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I personally think jealousy and envy are different side of same coin

In reality, they are not interchangeable words. Envy is a form of greed, while jealousy is not based on greed but fear (of having something taken away, which makes one more possessive of something/someone). I see a lot of people using these words interchangeably and using it to mean the same thing when it’s wrong in literature.

You’re welcome to see it as part of the same coin, but… Well, that’s not exactly correct in my personal opinion.

    For example:

A boyfriend (BF) sees his girlfriend (GF) hanging out with another guy he perceives as being more attractive than himself. Jealousy would be spurred in his mind, so he wouldn’t want his girlfriend to hang out with that guy anymore. The jealousy makes him afraid that his GF will fall in love with the “more attractive” guy and leave him, so BF wants his GF to stay with him all the time.

Example of envy (in a similar scenario):

BF sees his GF with a guy he perceives as being more attractive than himself. BF sees the way the guy is dressed with name-brand clothing and accessories. BF notices his GF admiring what the other guy is wearing and looks at the way his own self is more shabbily dressed. Because of that, not only does he feel embarrassed but also extremely envious of the other guy’s ability to buy expensive clothes. BF does not have the money to show off like the other guy, which makes him even more envious of what he doesn’t and might never have (i.e. excess wealth).

(Hope this helps anyone who is an aspiring writer! Feel free to disagree with me, but I’m backed by college-level English courses for this statement/explanation. Lol)
