I think it's because he was a nobody just some random guy with a debt on the street so he didn't want his family heir to be the child of some random omega with a debt so he wanted his son to be with someone else

Why would the bastard’s father want to kill Jaein because he was pregnant? I mean wouldn’t that mean his bloodline would continue and that one day the child would take over when the bastard retired? I doubt there will be an answer but I guess it’s not important.
