I agree but have you tried Blood Bank? It's hard to get past the BDSM one-sided love at first but the plot is stellar and it all comes full circle. It's seriously one of the best, if not the best, Yaoi story I've read thus far.
I have tried Blood Bank, its good but doesn´t keep me at the edge of my seat anticipating whats gonna happen next like Moritat does so i have to disagree with it being the best. guess its a matter of taste

That's true; then again, Moritat doesn't have as stuffed of chapters as Blood Bank does...you get a lot of plot out of a single chapter of Blood Bank whereas you usually only get a single happening in a chapter of Moritat (much like At the End of the Road [only that one has even more emaciated chapters]), so it definitely makes it feel a slower and/or less intense. But I get what you mean; to everyone their own!
honestly Blood Bank surprised me. i thought it had like no plot at first but now im really invested and they have actual feelings for each other (≧∀≦) theyre so cute

Because of Moritat my standards have risen so high for a good yaoi story, I´m afraid I wont be able to read something this amazing again and I´ll never be satisfied anymore.
