Oh it's a little complicated in the novel so the Father is married to that blonde stepmother because he sees her just as a birth machine to do some of his plans or something but he didn't really liked nor pay attention to her and just ignore and him and the FL were some Lovers in the past or so

I don't really remember what happened to him and the FL in the past but he had waited for her to reborn and kept waiting for her grow up and even kept waiting for her to remember her past life with him about him felling in Love with her and yeah he's definitely the ML, plus he's Hot and never grows old (￣∇￣")

Yeah I was also questioning that too because the Novel is still ongoing and some say it was dropped from translating but the last tings I know is that wife is a very horrible person who abused the FL and some people pitied her because she was in an unfair marriage but then, the Father who's the ML protected her from time to time and as the story goes, him and the FL because Lovers at the end
