We don't know what happened to the friend because he's absent from class. Jiwan asks Sooyoung to come to his house and meet his father. He came and three of them have a meal together. I think Jiwan promises to do something for his father (maybe stay out of trouble) if he accepts Soo Young and let them be. His father doesn't care about Jiwan and I think he just wants Jiwan not damage his reputation.
