yep! and that’s a perfectly adequate explanation if jaeha were to refuse the imprint, except he technically never refuses the idea to imprint, just says “another time” and strings his lovers along. kangmin is a piece of crap, of course, but he had asked jaeha for a long time to imprint. if jaeha explained he didn’t want one and wanted to continue the relationship, that would be fine. but he doesn’t and just waffles his decisions until someone makes it for him
Hmmm. Yeah I suppose that's true. it's kind of like not communicating to your party early enough that you never want kids, when they want a family and are already super emotionally invested in the relationship. But he might as well have just really struggled to decide if imprinting is the right thing. It's been a while since I read this though and my memory is shit so I don't know if there were any signs of him being 10000% sure of not wanting to imprint.
precisely!! jaeha does confess that he wanted to imprint with kangmin at some point, but the underlying issue w his whole trust arc is that he never effectively communicates he wants time to make a decision (or that he’s even processing the idea of it), he’s incredibly indecisive to the point of frustration, and is hypocritical and lacks self awareness of his own shortcomings (i.e inability to trust, complacency, and dismissive tendencies)
so when jaeha does say yes to jiyoon (well, sorta, i can recognize he was under duress) and sidesteps the commitment to go through with it, it just feels like he’s again avoiding any sort of attachment.
ok ted talk done ( ̄∇ ̄")
Uh. At chap 48 Jaeha said that the reason why he didn't want to imprint with Kangmin was because Kangmin always said he wanted to have kid. Jaeha said he seriously thinking about imprinting with him until he grovelling on the floor talking about he want to have kid. Kangmin is a manipulator, he is the one who made rumors about Jaeha and that's his way to hurt Jaeha. You guys read the story, why you ate his bullshit too? And after 3 years relationship, he got betrayed. The reason he doesn't want to imprint is because he afraid their imprint would bring a hindrance if one day a higher matching rate came for Kangmin. Do you know that Kangmin married a normal person and not a guide? That's because he wanted both. He want a kid, but he also want a higher matching rate guide for him.
Also, is it wrong to have insecurities so he doesn't imprinting with his current partner? He was betrayed by an esper before and they only met for a few months maybe. If imprinting is like marriage, don't you think a few months is too fast? So that's what I thought. I don't wanna say you are wrong or anything. Just wanna put the fact here cause i felt bad for Jaeha.
The way you’re spitting is like we’ve read 2 different pov! It’s fine if you wanna support him do it, don’t poke your nose in my opinion. A few month wasn’t enough to imprint? 3 years wasn’t enough either? Bullshit. We never said his ex was some holy dude, it’s about him not being able to give his commitment, and not everyone likes relationship where the other person tries to avoid imprint or you say marriage! I respect whatever your opinion is on this matter but don’t just butt in on other people’s opinion!

I was sympathizing with the uke until his ex pointed out the fact that he really didn’t trust him, he doesn’t trust his present either. So he really had been playing the victim card the whole comic till the very end he didn’t imprint haha. There are actually people like that they’ll be in a relationship and constantly push you away saying one day you might leave for better one when they themselves aren’t ready for marriage -_- that’s how I felt about this uke.
