Agree with you. So many comments are so mean to Dan when he made actually smart decisions and wasn't stupid enough to believe that sus guy.
Plus his grandma really wouldn't approve of such actions. She raised a good boy
Whether or not y'all want Dan to betray Jk, him not accepting the shady offer was incredibly smart. There is so much risk involved with no guarantee it will work out in his favor. It's not like he was shown any type of written contract or anything it was just verbal, so they could turn this around on Dan very easily. Then Dan would be left without a home, broke, and his grandma would still be dying. He'd probably also get beaten half to death. That's so many horrible cons, especially if it would be a deal made with a random person on the street. I mean from Dan's perspective he doesn't even actually know if this dude was who he said he was (we only know cuz of JK at the end). And besides, his grandma does not seem the type of person who would be ok with Dan betraying someone for her potential benefit.
I hate JK, and I love my Lola, but I would never give her some random medicine (yeah medicine, not even a treatement) that I know absolutely nothing about.
