Reread the first chaps and the reason why she's doing her debutante is because blonde guy has a letter written by ophelia. In exchange for the letter, she has to finish the social season.
I know that and I'm not really a fan of rereading coz i read tons of other stuff....
And that's not what i meant....
If she just have to attend that debutante, why need to say all those things to them? It's irrelevant.... She could've just ignored them...
And even if they're the ones coming after her, she could've just made the sentences short.... Why the need to make herself uncomfortable?

I can see you're point of view. In my opinion I feel like it's frustration that made her lash out against these people. Like she was the closest person to Ophelia before her death. She felt like all these people where using Ophelia and now they're using Elodi as her replacement. They never thought of Ophelia as a human being more like a pretty object you put on a shelf. Plus the fact that they're all saying to MC they missed her and wonder why she left when they all treated her horribly (Ophelia's mom + glasses and blondie), the funeral scene made me so mad omg. So she's pretty pissed at them. I don't even think they really missed her they just want another connection to Ophelia and MC was basically her only friend, I think she felt their lack of sincerity.
It's fine.... The words itself were misleading....
And there's that but from what I've seen... I think she only lashed out at glasses guy.... And if it were me, i wouldn't have accepted blondie's offer even if i made Ophelia sad in heaven.... She's gone and she's never coming back so i should do the same....I would've traveled that world no more going back to that awful place....
At that point in the plot feels like it being forced to continue that it already turned bland.... And i ain't gonna waste my time on it ....

And hasn't she been doing fine in those two years she left and disappeared so why is she back again? ತ_ತ
