I think the husband could be barely blamed. People deal with grief in different ways. For the mother it’s revenge, for the father it’s acceptance and mourning. Plus people really do commit suicide without really showing strong signs of being suicidal sometimes, too. When you discover that your son had a notebook where he talked about wanting to die and then jumped off a cliff, you can’t really oppose that shit. Not to mention that if iirc the mother didn’t really share the evidence of the son being bullied with the father. I think it’s really just so that the father wouldn’t get on her ass for taking revenge on students
