That part about Nick and Ash was cut off in the webtoon. Before Ash had a crush on Nick and tried to win his heart over. Nick didn’t have interest in Ash and his only attention was all on Kyle. They went on a few dates (only hanging out, no physical/ sexual relationship). Ash found out Nick’s true love is Kyle. Ash decided to cut all of his connection to Nick. Time passed, Nick called Ash to ask him to be Karlyle’s sex partner and Ash accepted Nick’s request

Yes it's in another novel called "egg Benedict" where NickxKyle relationship is depicted, Ash had a crush on Nick, but Nick's lifetime unrequited love was Kyle, Ash and Nick dated just a few times but Nick ended up with Kyle, during one of their last meetings where Nick and Ash were parting ways they were discovered by Lyle who mistakenly thought Nick was having an affair with Ash, that was actually their second encounter, the first one was the kiss in New York where they both didn't know each other. Lyle recognized Ash but Ash didn't remember of Lyle, that's why Ash thinks their first encounter is that time with Nick and thinks Lyle has ill feelings towards him because of what happened back then. That's the situation when Nick asks Ash to be Lyle's sex partner...which is nuts but well, I won't complain

Well it’s because literally in the first couple chapters the story shows how Lyle saw nick and ash together and then some kind of confrontation happened. And then when Lyle and ash were at the art gallery in the later chapter Lyle unknowingly reveals nick is pregnant. When ash hears nick is pregnant he looks shocked and sad. And lately in more recent chapters Kyle says “I don’t member you being like that with nick” (to ash) when ash was at their house looking for a way to reconnect with Lyle. So this shows that Kyle is weary of ash’s feelings for nick in the past. Indicating something happened.

So I was confused why ash gets so emotional when it comes to nick. This specific Manhwa did not give us a backstory of nick x ash x Kyle. Through other users we now know there is indeed a PREQUEL. It’s just that it’s a novel and there’s NO manhwa version of the prequel. I wish there were lol. It would have made more sense to publish prequel storyline first.

Can I ask, why did nick date ash if he liked Kyle? And why did ash like nick (love at first sight?). It seems like ash isn’t one to be so clingy in relationships (before Lyle). I remember ash talking about “I never thought being loved was so hard” when he was regretting letting Lyle go… so this make me think nick was somehow very special to ash. Especially considering he accepted to be lyles sex partner due to nicks request in the first place.

Thanks to other users it’s been confirmed that ash did indeed have a crush on nick. And that’s in the PREQUEL “Eggs Benedict” …. Of course ash’s true love now is Lyle. But knowing this info about nick and ash makes the first three chapters make more sense. Including the scene when ash is shocked and almost a little sad hearing nick is pregnant.

I haven’t read Egg Ben as I don’t like KyleNick but I’ll explain it from the way I understand KyleNickAsh situation (if there’s any misinformation pls correct me). So first Kyle and Nick are childhood friends, Nick saved Kyle from being kidnapped and because of the kidnap, Kyle has mental issues and he only feels safe/ comfortable while being with Nick. Kyle has always been in love with Nick ever since but Nick at that time only viewed him as his close friend. Nick has a lot of dating experience and every time he had a new lover, it broke Kyle’s heart (this is also the reason why Karlyle didn’t like Nick at first, he believed Nick had been hurting Kyle even tho he knew very well that only him is the one who could comfort Kyle). From my pov, Nick kinda used Ash to define his feelings for Kyle as whenever he went on a date with Ash, he only thought about Kyle. I think the appearance of Ash in EB was actually a motivation to make Nick and Kyle realized their feelings for each other and to get together. For Ash, he has only dated alphas before but he fell in love with Nick because of Nick’s bulk build and outgoing, straightforward persona are his taste, because he’s a beta-but-very-alpha-like (that’s why Ash said the type of personality like Karlyle is the one he avoid interacting the most because he can’t read/ know what the opponent is thinking). Later, when Nick reconnected Ash because he wanted him to do him a favor (atp Nick and Kyle are already married), Ash realized he still has lingering feelings for Nick. So that’s why he accepted Nick’s request as “if Nick’s happy, then I’m happy too”
