Im pretty sure he did encourage the problem (talking with the heir abt how his father dying will have the same result, and how he says pursuing him as a butler wasnt enough)
Tbh makes sense it was a little vague to me when I first read it.
It looks like ml took care of the problem and was not the problem so I’m really happy.
