THIS!!! I don't think other commentators really see past the low blow, which oh my goodness, was a very LOW BLOW. But, you have three kids together, married, fated etc. Its not even about being jealous in my opinion, which fair Haruki openly admits he is, but why are you harbouring a secret that 1) Isn't pertaining to any of you both . And 2) you've known them less than 24 hours, at the end of the day, I'm sure you trust your husband enough to keep a secret! I agree, he should definitely apologise properly and reflect but the arc or "I can't say anything etc.." it's so annoying at times
I'm not taking sides either but i dosagree on the first part. Naoto was told something personal. The person even said he dont want to talk about it with anyone else. So it's not wrong to keep it confidential. But i do agree that feeling embarassed because he talked about Hazuki was fucking stupid as an additonal reason...
And yea the way he said it was stupid too but to be fair, that could be due to the translation too.
He already said it was something personal between friends (it’s a secret for a reason) and I do believe that not everything has to be known by hazuki just because he is his mate. Hazuki overreacted grabbing naoto and getting mad over things like that just because of naoto being close with other men, this happened before with the other guy too, so I think naoto did the right thing of not being too soft on him this time.
I'm not trying to take sides but Naoto should've been more honest when Haruki asked what did he and Otoha talked about. He knew his husband is already jealous. I would personally flipped out if my partner suddenly told me that it was "personal" and just gave him advise and then avoid me. Like at this point in our relationship, is it something so big that you can't just tell me about it so I can have a peace of mind? And then he said he is embarassed because he also talked about Haruki? Ugh. I swear the character development of Naoto goes back and forth. Anyway, I get Haruki will be mad but he shouldn't have said those harsh things to his wife. That's victim blaming. He has trauma for gods sake. Sigh, mama and papa should talk it out. :(
