I'm pretty sure that at this point everyone reading this knows that all sex scenes in this manhwa are just different kinds of rape. Were aware. We continue to read it knowing what is happening. It's a distopia with all kinds of shit happening. Your high horse has no place in this discussion even more so if you're still reading it.

I am not on any high horse at all. We all know that pretty much every sex scene is rape. I come back to this book every now and then to see how it's going. Or if it ended yet. Other people read the same scenes for many reasons. This book is obviously a tragedy and apocalyptic drama and thriller. The creater(s) know what they are doing and how they are doing it. What I pointed out is how the person above who first commented was like "threesomes are hot and it's even hotter with blindfolds" and "this character is my number 1 I love them" when 1: he is obviously being raped and the blindfold was weaponized to put him in a place of submission for control and he is obviously getting very emotional about it. 2: They are glorifying a character that has also subjected the protagonist to non consensual sexual acts. They completely romanticizing it and finding his character attractive regardless of it. Not one character has been completely innocent and genuine towards the protagonist and the creater is definitely portraying that. Yeah, the person definitely has the freedom to do that, but I can also have an opinion about the person's reaction to such and despair, hopelessness and vulnerability being portrayed and played off as "hot", "sexy", and "attractive".

I normally equate "normalizing" with people who want to conflate an obvious fantasy into their reality. But that's not how I saw the comment.

To me, any smutty Manhwa, Manga, or Graphic Novel with Risky-to-Obvious non-consensual material in it is on par with our reality's fantasy roleplay. It's not real. It's a fantasy. No one is actually getting hurt. It's pretend. It's nothing more than something that adds to whatever turns you on in the first place. Therefore the initial comment made was made because it's a fantasy kink they like, not because they want it to translate into rape in the real world.

And I completely understand that. You are making perfect sense. But it's all about the concept of their reaction to such a concept. It is totally a fantasy. But things like this happen to real people. Amd imagining someone react like that to something like this threw me off a bit.

That's why stories like this are not for everyone. Some know that what's going on in the story is exclusively and completely fake within the world it's written for and won't cross that boundary, while others compare actions in the story to actions done in real life and make an "art imitates life" comparison. It triggers emotions from those with a higher sensitivity to how these things are executed even though what was read is purely fictional.

For me, if I find it to be too much I take a break and find a happy place.
