If I remember it correctly, Luca’s mom is the grandaughter of the former emperor’s sister while Luca’s dad is the son of the former emperor’s daughter. So the mom and dad are technically 2nd cousins. Actually, idk how Luca and Charlotte are 5th cousins when Charlotte is the daughter of the current king, aka son of former king aka sister of Luca’s paternal grandmother aka first cousin of Luca’s maternal grandfather(iirc the former emperor’s sister had a son who is FLs and Luca’s mom’s dad). I was literally thinking the same thing. I am pretty sure they are 2nd cousins once removed... which is a way bigger deal than 5th cousins...

i couldn't stope think about that they must be cousin's maybe distant one's but still they couldn't be that far. I was so glad when Luca mentioned it. I understand it's kind of set in time when that would be pretty normal but still. Also i will never get over the fact how close are luca's parents in family tree. Bc aren't the mother's of the luca's parents sisters?
