Wild ginseng does kinda work as viagra

So I looked it up and wild ginseng has indeed been used for sexual impotency, however in more recent studies the say it doesn't actually do much. So I think author is mostly just playing off of how it would be use in Chinese medicine for that. Or just the fact that for a long time it was believed to work like an Aphrodisiac. Of course there's also just exaggeration consider we have a some mystical stuff going on anyways. ┐( ̄ヘ ̄)┌

So, I used to work in a natural health shop, and it does come up in ingredients for sexual enhancers quite often (among other ingredients)...And actually, that was probably what sold the best lol. There are different types of ginseng but the most popular one for korea is red ginseng, which stimulates blood circulation/etc, which, might not get you horny per say, but eating a whole ass ginseng root would probably make anyone physically uncomfortable, for a variety of reasons, and the side effect can feel like overheating. You're only supposed to eat a little bit at a time.

So it's not all exaggeration, so much that he's just reeling in from side effects lol.

Oh that's cool actually, fun fact to know it genuinely does work. I'm wondering if the study that was done did use a different varient than the one depicted or used as an ingredient for the enhancers you mentioned.

Extra tidbit is that the efficacy of ginseng varies a lot depending on the type, size, age, and individual root. A better root does yield better effectiveness.

(Although its a myth that 1000 yr old ginseng is god's medicine. The peak age for ginseng is around 14 years lol.)
