riftan my guy... ik ur wife cute and all but she's a grown woman

man this whole bit of trying to convince riftan to let maxi go for the thingi was so annoying... i get that he worries about her and all that but she's a grown woman who's working on her magic stuff and is capable of helping... and logically she is the best option they have.. bro literally takes it so far to "protect" maxi its like putting her in a cage in that chapter (i forgot number) where maxi internally mentions how riftan's hug didn't feel warm like before but limiting (cannot remember the exact word she used sorry) AND YEAH HE REALLY IS... LIKE EVEN DURING THE CHAPTERS WHEN AGNES CAME TO VISIT AND WANTED TO TAKE MAXI OUT OR EVEN WHEN MAXI VOLUNTEERED TO BE HER TOUR GUIDE... MY GUY NEEDS TO STOP YOU'RE LITERALLY STOPPING HER FROM GROWING AND LEARNING and really, what different does it make him from her father (obviously the intentions are different but they're kinda doing the same thing),,, tbh i wish riftan would have a proper CONVERSATION with maxi... and not just "i order you to not come with us and stay in your room" and refusing to listen to her side (or listening to a word or few lines and getting pissed and refusing),, because we as readers can understand the intention behind why you're doing so (even tho its not correct), but you could atleast try and understand maxi instead of waiting till both of you explode at each other... I MEAN I KNOW THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THE STORY IS FOR but still.. having proper conversations and expressing each other's thoughts and opinions is really not a bad thing maxi doesn't need to be shut in her room for eternity because you think she's not capable enough or a "lady" or wtv... she's training herself, she's learning, and most of all she's prepared to experience all that--- AND THAT MATTERS SO MUCH really hoping maxi is great at her healing stuff and riftan realises he was so wrong and should let her continue with it (and also apologise to her)
