Honestly MC is so damaged from her relationship with the crown prince. I know she didn't like him romantically but the betrayal from him when her father died and knowing that he is responsible (she didn't know he was responsible directly than but knows that now) has given her some massive trust issue in regards to possible romantic relationship. Both MC and ML need therapy, they are neither good for each other and nor for anyone else. A guy who became extremely manipulative as a survival mechanism + a girl who became extremely distrustful as a survival mechanism is the worst combo, all waiting for us now is a toxic shitstorm.
