Don't forget that butler helped her at the academy when the random guy was harassing a girl (ogFL? Don't remember) and told her all the disgusting things the guy had done! So maybe not the newest topics but the most important ones will be handled by our trusty butler!
Yes and No. Though the incident you are specifically referring to (chapter 32/33) Amy was the informant. The FL gets most of her information/tea from the butler.
He was the former leader of her family's secret information network/assassin guild (The Black Shadow). This was why the FL, was able to use the current butler to learn about the teacher and his victims, as he was the old butler's protegee and now the leader of The Black Shadow. They reference it in chapter 40, "I knew it was strange that for a head butler, he knew so much information" (referring to him knowing so much about others outside the household).
Yes but those were major scandals. Amy probably knew dark little secrets students were hiding better since she stayed on campus 24/7. Like so-and-so not washing regularly or student B hiding bdsm goods in the closet bc they're secretly an M for example. Things like that are harder to investigate since the butler hangs around the mansion more than at school.
