totally Agree, and I also feel Doyak kinda dropped all efforts in building Jo and Ian relationship on this season, in the first season it was clear to me how Jo represented that life Ian never had the chance to experience (but he really wanted to) and TJ a life Ian knew was toxic and wanted to leave behind (but of course it wasn’t that easy)
But on this season Ian just dropped all interest in starting a new life (Jo included) and now its just running after TJ, that’s so disappointing, kinda feel like Doyak’s it’s just rushing things to make TJ the endgame because he’s the most popular characters between the fandom

for real,,, i mean we’re only still at the beginning of the s2 though, but i can’t help to get disappointed because everything is turning out messy. nonetheless, i still want all the three characters to have a good ending they deserve (i don’t wanna see anyone dying because they sacrificed for the one they love)
sometimes i have this silly thought that it feels like there wasn’t even a third person fighting for his dear life to prove to ian that he’s worth of his love to begin with, which is jo. i don’t have any idea what doyak’s planning with jo because to me it really seems that ian only sees jo as his friend, which he can lean on when things get tough, but will never view him romantically even though they’ve already had sex multiple times. to be honest even their ‘intimate’ scenes don’t even feel intimate to me at all. it’s appalling to me cause doyak seems like they’re trying to build ian and jo’s relationship in a rather bland manner (i already know y’all are coming for me with this, but it’s just what i literally feel) also it’s argumentative that ian is somewhat attached to jo, given that he can’t really shake him off and i think that’s because jo is represented as a new world to ian where a part of him wants to explore.
i’m saying this as a jo stan, since i’m getting pretty tired of this story already. every update feels like a slap on my face, as jo is being constantly disregarded and treated like a tool to build tj and ian’s relationship further
