I do know abt why he killed her, apparently (spoilers!) yeon's mom is from a heavenly demon sect and ya yul hates and has some kind of a revenge from the sect, and so he killed yeon bc he founds out yeon's mother was from the heavenly demon sect and the granddaughter of the demon sect's leader too.

apparently the ml is ryu cheong, nam gung wan's son and the disciple of yeon's dad! idk abt u guys but im pretty happy its ryu cheong instead of ya yul, according to my experiences, i dont really appreciate guys who murdered mc in the past without any clear reason. i was lowkey rooting for the blonde guy but ryu cheong is fine too.
YOU HAVE TO SEE THE NOVEL COVER AND READ THE NOVEL HOW RYU CHEONG AND YEON'S CHEMISTRY IS GOOD (my personal opinion) esp the cover where yeon and ryu cheong is married, they look so happy tgt omg.
