What if both ophelia and the ophelia look-a-like are the reincarnation of the goddess stuck in a time loop???
Like the look-a-like is the goddess before she remembers any of her past lives and ophelias is the goddess when she remembers everything but can't do anything to get out of the loop (and naturally the look-a-like isn't really alive until ophelias dies and has fake memories implanted into her)
AND maybe that's why ophelia is "cold hearted" coz she literally sees everyone forget about her the second a look-a-like comes along, ALSO maybe that's why MC still has some unexplained attachment (besides pity) to the look-a-like even tho she hates and/or wants to hate her
