4th wall joke

Really? I get he’s supposed to be a medieval king and what not (with his wanton disregard for other species) but making a misogynistic joke the pivot of the chapter during today’s times feels so icky to me

I still love the story and want to see how it develops on the screen as opposed to novel but my man can you stop role playing as a king for one second and remember you’re originally a native from this world as well lol

does that mean he isn't taking the queen and red head with him or something but before he took them with him to battle or is it that he doesn't consider them women ????

No, in the old medieval days during the expansion of western colonialism (the Western European countries in particular) sailors and ship builders spewed nonsensical propaganda that women would bring and harbor bad luck on voyages and that the voyage would fail and their journey a blunder but that’s just bullshit! Those men couldn’t contain their unruly nature

Let's not forget he lived in Korea for like 20 years then in the other world for 300, Korea doesn't exactly feel like home to him anymore, so I doubt it's just role-playing

This is just my understanding but the king isn't misogynistic, so what he meant was women bring bad luck on seas, which is a old medieval superstition, it's a long story for this historically... But I'll doubt he'll leave Hari behind.

Imagine you lived in the mediaeval period for almost or more than 300 years. Then life is stressful and you we're given a difficult task to save the world. Do you think your 20-30 years experience in Earth is much comparable to the 300 years life suffering in that world?
