They accidentally met in the last panel of the last chapter. On the same place they first met (here the mc and the rental guy crossing the road but they went the opposites way), but it's 12 years later, they notices each others then the story ended.

There's no such thing as "romance" for this manga. There's a 12-ish years timeskip and since then, they didn't met each other.
Oh the ending is an open ending btw
