suffering and pain in a series is fine, it’s character growth, but then 95% of your cast is dead, there’s quite literally no story. that’s why i dropped the JJK manga. it’s boring and unnecessarily painful to read, i don’t want to read about Yuuji being tortured for fun at this point.
EXACTLY!!! I can't stess this point more!! Jjk does not have a good story, it's as if the whole thing is an an artist going, "what if I do this! No scratch that..what if.." again and again. It looked like a really good story at first but then it just...went weird!! like there is no reason behind anyone's death it add nothing to the story , except for increasing poor Yuji pain and trama
Also there seems to be no scope for a Good Ending for jjk, except if Gege decided to make the whole thing a dream or a time travel situation...and that is again not really a satisfactory end. And I also feel like, for everyone to be brought back from the dead Yuji will have to die....As the author said " Either everyone dies and Yuji lives, or Everyone lives and Yuji dies". ┗( ╥﹏╥ )┛

hey, your rant is 100% completely justified. i don’t understand why the new gen shōnen mangakas need to have their stories like this. its not fun, its boring, and hurts your audience. why do mangakas feel the need to torture their characters like this? Denji, Izuku, Yuuji, Tanjiro, they’re all just kids. if Shōnen is all about encouraging young boys to be strong and believe in themselves, why make isolated, traumatized, vulnerable fictional boys their role model? how can i tell a little boy to be strong when the fictional characters he looks up to have nothing? sure, showing your audience that it’s okay for boys to feel emotions and cry, but where’s the line? how far are these mangakas willing to push their characters until people realize that it’s just gore porn at this point? they’re literally doing this for weirdos who think torturing people, even if it’s fictional, is fun.
I feel like with Tanjiro was the only one with somewhat justified story, like it makes sense why something is happening. And MHA would also be understandable if not for deku's age, he is too young. As for chainsaw man, It was supposed to be psychological and Shenin not Shonen. However, jjk is just whatever.
The authors themselves are the gore porn loving weirdos except for the author of demon slayer.
