If she said she saw it in a dream that'd be even more suspicious cause it'd be like finding a plant she completely made up. I don't think anyone in this palace knew about potatoes, this is their first introduction to this plant from the west, so saying she saw it in a book from the west is the most logical imo
THAT WOULD BE MORE SUSPICIOUS. But honestly I don't think her response mattered bc he's a shadow and he has to be loyal to her. If it's known she has a power it could be dangerous for her, it would put too many eyes on her

Why she couldn't just say that she saw it in a dream instead of saying that she had her ways cause NOW SHE LOOKS SUSPICIOUS, if she just said that she had a dream and it looked familiar they can just push it at the side as a vision and she could've used that to her advantage.. ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ
