I follow your rambling. I think people will complain about anything... and as such, the most popular option is "no romance", but I still believe that, with so many FLs presented, he's gonna have one so they have to suck it up
For me as long as the FL is an adult by age then all's good. She can think for herself anyways. Plus yes, it's not like MC can pick someone her mother's age.. well.. unless it's the "age doesn't matter" type of love.
All I care about is stay away from minors. He can date when his body is an adult and the FL is also an adult type of thing although I quite enjoy the no romance route, especially when MC just focuses on his acting and career.
I've read a few of these age sensitive romance stuff... some readers will definitely complain that's normal haha. Some agrees some disagrees.

EXACTLY. Like, he regressed, not tome travel of something. If someone regressed with their memories intact, and they dies at 30, does that mean they turned 48 when they are 18?? No, right?? Exactly because he regressed, that means the girl has a close age to him right??? When youngguk died at 30, the girl was 28 or something then, right??
Gosh, to hell with mental age or something. I mean if they met as a child, of course he sees them as a child. When they grow up and become adult, how is it weird to become lovers? They are adults, and he no longer sees them as "child". Its not like he start having desire when the girl is still a child. Its the same concept as childhood friends no?? It's literally not fair that people are so strict to these characters.
It's fine as long as their all adults i agree. But it's because of wierdo works like mushoku tensei that make ppl on edge.
Yeah he regressed which mean he lives even longer him talking to a child that becomes an adult that eventually becomes his lover is straight up gross. This man was never a “child” he was a 30 year old man in a child body. He had his memories and kept on living longer we are not strict. Him meeting an adult now and gets into a relationship isn’t our problem but him getting into a relationship with someone he meet when she was a child is the problem. That isn’t close to childhood friends
As a general rule, love interest under 20 is a no go for me regardless of whether the regression affects the MC mentally or not. That age group is usually too emotionally attached and dependent. Unfortunately, that means the MC shouldn't date people his age till college.
Though if I was hypothetically in the regression situation, I wouldn't date anyone under 25 and only after becoming an adult.
It's tough tbh. Especially if it's a woman who liked him since she was young. She will probably try to keep getting his attention. Of course he wouldn't go for her because he sees her as a child but when she becomes an adult..there's no way anyone can stop them if they do fall in love (well she needs to work really hard to convince MC otherwise and change his view of her being a younger sister). Who would even believe MC is older when his body is still young. Also if he was a chaebol or something his parents would definitely arrange marriage with ladies younger than him or in the same age group. He can't control what age group is attracted to him...and love is love it's crazy how many age gap stories I've read (and yes people tend to have negative complaints about it)... if they do go out with each other they'll probably be adults since at the moment they're focused on their career more than anything else. Author seems to be sensitive about it as well because they're clearly sibling zoning the girl in MC's pov.
Just need the readers to be prepared haha. It seems that girl is a high candidate to be the one but who knows. It's all in the author's hands and they can do what they want with their story and no one can stop it.
Plus in the world today some young adults even marry people twice or thrice their age.. You can never stop what happens to other people haha. It's their business after all.
EXCEPT if it's pedophiles who targets the minors. Those are unacceptable and they should burn. They prey on the young to satisfy their fcked up desires. That's not love.

im curious, what age do you all want the FL to be? i mean, yall said that it would be weird if he is to date yeonsoo as she is half his mental age, but wouldn’t it also be weird if he date a woman his mental age? i mean what would his surrounding (his fans and family) think if he is to date a woman closer to his mother’s age? should he be alone for the rest of his life? or? any other possible romance ending? (not that i don’t like an end with no romance, but this is just a question as i stumbled upon a lot of regression story like this and people tend to dislike MCs who regressed and be with someone whose age is around the MCs physical age).
