I understand that the mcs bro was a product of the fucked up societal prejudices but unless the author actually puts in the effort of giving him character development, I dont care for him. So tired of authors half assing dickhead character redemption arcs just so they could lengthen the story.

real! like we can sympathise, but it doesn't excuse and justify his previous heinous actions just because of his upbringing. It's sad, but r@pe is r@pe regardless. bringing him a significant other despite what he did in the pretense of redemption is such an ugly writing . it's as if whatever disgusting and unredeemable actions you did, you still deserve someone undeserving of all of those. what happens to good people, then, if even bad people can have this? the least thing he should be having is to live a better life. That's it. I hope the author would consider that though
