It's because of the promise he made to his former comrades, they need all the manpower and potentially strong people who didn't survive the tutorial. Otherwise, judging from his personality, he would've either killed/abandoned useless and annoying people.
This has got to have the most annoying side characters. And MC is just being so noncholant about it. I guess I am just so used to MCs who won't take shit from anyone. Maybe he just really don't care? (￣∇￣")
