Okay I'm not vegan but that dish is a disrespect to so many amazing vegan dishes out there...

Cuz she is not vegan, she believes enjoyement is a sin, like some real religious people who believe enjoying good food, confort, sex, or any physical need is "luxury" and we are on earth as a probation and preparation so we are not supposed to enjoy it
She probably doesn't eat sugar or salt or any seasoning for that reason

If blonde boi is supposed to be the classic indian/middle eastern envoy chara (assuming cause rofan manhwas makes us exotic af for some reason), he's gonna be miserable with that 'cuisine'. There are many ways to make delicious vegan food, even without a lot of spices.

Any place is full of their own spices.....any non religious brain washed place.....I mean the "god with G and Jesus" church made a great effort to try to convince poor people good food is for "barbaric races" (maybe cuz the "barbaric" had the spice they wanted) and themselves ended up "falling to temptation" lol
To me pink one is just obsessed with self torture like a anorexic who thinks they have "the superpower of self control" and thus the right to judge who doesn't try hard enough

Slight correction it's a sin for others, not herself. She's a hypocrite. Her entire character is supposed to be a contradiction, she's the 'saintess' but her heart is black and full of greed.

Though she condemns others for indulging in luxuries, she does not restrict herself (the temple also mirrors this). In fact, throughout several scenes, we see her indulging in several delegacies, whether it's food, clothes, or accessories. It's even mentioned in the 1st timeline that during the epidemic, the saintess refused to see anyone who didn't have loads of money or was considered high in status/connections (this is also why the MC died). The only time she pulls the 'luxury is a sin' card is in situations where she can use it to guilt/condemn people (a way to make herself feel superior to others). She particularly likes using it against people of high standing (at the noble lady tea). The fact that they were born into money and power, unlike her, fuels her jealousy and resentment (it probably strengthens her position/assurance).

Here we are seeing a similar phenomenon, but at a much greater magnitude. In the past, she had only targeted noble women, but now she is targeting noble men, as well as foreign diplomats (honorary guests -> people WAY above her station). It's to show how much her greed and vanity have escalated from the beginning. Aside from being disrespectful, this meal could ruin diplomatic relations and cause turmoil in the country. However, she doesn't care because her sole objective is to feel a sense of superiority to those she dines with.

Likewise, her romantic relationships follow a similar pattern. She claims her actions are motivated by love, but in reality, she's chasing worship and status (which is why the moment Helio started to question her she switched back to Kael).

Her actions are fueled completely by greed, power and vanity, and she has little to no empathy for anyone but herself. With her often willing to hurt/sacrifice others to achieve her goals.

Pinky's relationship with the King is a perfect example of her character and has excellent imagery:

Despite showing no prior signs/actions of empathy or care for others. She insists on taking care of the king. (very out of character despite her being 'the saintess')
She even prioritizes it and remains committed despite neglecting all of her other duties as the Prince's wife.
When the issue with her powers was discovered, she insisted on staying by the king's side. Completely overlooking, that she put the King's life at risk when she lied about her powers (an example of her sacrificing/risking others' safety for her goals).
Finally, when Helio removes her from taking care of the King and insists she 'rests' Diana becomes extremely upset and begins to resent Helio (which confuses Helio as he's acting out of worry for her health).

This scene is powerful because the King is considered the most powerful person in the kingdom, the crown is the symbol of power. Pinky's obsession and insistence to physically stay beside the King has nothing to do with good intentions and has everything to do with her proximately to the crown and therefore power. Helio's removing her position beside the King, was considered him distancing her from the crown/power.

bitch" than mine, I just saw her as a sick person who uses religion to feel superior.....since once she was a saint and eventually ended up like that, to me she is a example of a hypocrite a person who let religious leaders think for her, as a normal person or even just a saint I believe she would live her life as a self sacrifice saint/ self torture believer cuz that's what they made her belive would make her "superior/pure" but as she got close to people with power church must made her believe she is superior and deserving of all that cuz she represents the God (and the most powerful she becomes so does the church influence).......I think that's how she became like that know
