But legal aside, how about moral obligation? You’re responsible for the athlete you’re in charge of , specially such a world class boxer! And it’s not about being extrovert, it’s common sense that you have to inform your boss if someone is asking for insider info(considering being a spy or accepting a better paid job as physiotherapist is not the same ) , unless you want to collaborate with them or you know without your help they can’t cause any harm or you don’t care what happens and you’ll fine, otherwise you’re just digging your own grave ! It’s a work matter not his personal life to keep it to himself, and also considering how much love about JK , he should have known if not him then they could get another team member to help them , so it’s no longer about his unrequited love but JK ‘s profession is at stake which I’m sure Dan himself cares about it a lot!
He did attempt to tell him but he failed because he can't speak up properly not only about his profession but also about himself or his needs and even for the most trivial stuff. Do you think somebody becomes someone else just because he is at work and puts the therapyst clothes? I am not saying he isn't in the wrong but that there are reasons why everything happened the way it did happen. Both are at fault.
That’s right, personally this is the biggest criticism I have with this story and similar ones, an adult man who can’t act like an adult, everything happens he immediately starts tearing up, I can completely understand if he has trouble with expressing his thoughts and emotions and the frustration when the other person is not willing to listen but at job you need to be professional ! He’s a good person maybe a lil too good but completely stuck in his own head space , like how he work his ass off to keep the grandma a little longer, to buy Jk a birthday present or tip toeing in order not to cause any disturbance , these are all good but not the things that other person need or the situation asks for, he’s not mature and I’m looking forward to his character development which’s been long overdue!
It's not that uncommon when you consider how he did grow up. He's an outsider of society because of its poverty and how he grow up with his only grandma for his entire life. That means he hasn't experienced anything remotely similar to what you might consider a normal childhood and he he is not what you might consider a somewhat well functioning human being. He doesn't understand cues, emotions, behaviours that to you might seem easy to understand and clear cut in their meaning. Society has a knack for breeding broken individuals on so many different levels you can hardly imagine.

Tbh, I see this helplessness of his character unrealistic and very exaggerated!
Lots of people go to university or even high school and yet you could very easily pass through such evnironment like a martian and in fact it does happen without many people noticing. You probably haven't dealt with such people in RL so obviously they look unreal to you in fiction, but they do exist and they're not uncommon. You have to remember that these kind of psycological problems are often exposed as shameful in society so even when the people get to know them, they tend to hide them because of the fear of being judged not so kindly. Look at your own words in your previous message. Nothing wrong with it, you were just expressing your likes and dislikes and yet by the way you phrased would you think somebody like Dan would approach you and talk to you or rather do the opposite? The same in the story, no matter how reasonable (the trainers) or unreasonable the person (Jaekyung), if he gets even the smallest cue it is not a good idea they would avoid doing anything. Some people don't live their life, they simply try to surf their way around it. In the case of Dan, such condition is likely determined by his poverty. How much of his university life do you think he lived when both his grandma and him had the same clothes in the graduation photos? How many friends parties do you think he went to? I think we don't need a full account of his past to understand that it wasn't that great or even what you could define normal.
This time I’m with JK !Dan’s lame pussy attitude and his silence is causing so much trouble and misunderstanding ! I said it last time as well if he had told about his meeting with that coach at least to tge manager , all these could be prevented! It was unprofessional on Dan’s side! I know Jk is a grade A asshole in his private life but he’s damn hardworking and serious about his profession and Dan’s foolishness is ruining everything!
