I think it depends on the person. Personally, I can't even recognize my childhood friends voice sometimes and voices are often changed a little thru voice chats.. so if u put together that they spoke for a few minutes like 3 times and it's over voice chat now, it doesn't surprise me they don't recognize eachothers voices.

Agree. I always remember voice more than the people face. When I think of a person I can actually hear them from my head, the tone and accent specifically. That’s a loophole for me too.
I mean, it’s true that they didn’t spoke that much with each other but maybe it differs from people to people. Bc I’ll be able to recognize it but maybe others wouldn’t. So yha
