Er i think you might have misread - they have different mothers. The boys' mother is the 1st Empress Rosennia Firenze (gold hair red eyes) who died of an illness (all this is in chapter 9 - should go check it out).
While Ashtarte's mother is Empress Regent Rebecca (red hair gold eyes).

Okay there's one thing I'm confused about. In other people's memory and everything, the empress was a very nice person. She loved Ashtarte, a child that wasn't even born, so much. She was warm hearted and all in everyone's memories including Loen's. Judging from All the dreams Ashtarte had, everything she left behind, the diary, she's a wonderful person and a lovable warm mother. BUT my question is why did she treat her sons so horribly? She abused the 1st prince to "train" him to become an Emperor. She treated the 2nd Prince merely as an future aid for his brother, told him to always help his brother and do as he says. None of her behaviour indicates her being a "good mother".
Now I'm curious how she'd have treated Ashtarte if she hadn't received the God's blessings. Would she still love her the same or would she treat her like she treated the princes?
And I kind of felt bad for the brothers because they were her sons too. But she didn't leave them any good memory nor any keepsakes. They might not been the best people but they weren't like that when they were literally children right? I'm not sure how I'm supposed to feel about the empress.
