You’ll see in this 2nd arc that they aren’t toxic together lol. It’s only because the first life was filled with both of them creating and experiencing traumas from their bad decisions. (MC gave others trauma and got trauma from revenge on him, ML got trauma and gave trauma).
Also this current arc is the timeline/universe where both of them experience true happiness.
