but he used him too in a sense? although in an innocent way like a dog pillow the ml didn't give a shit about the kid either. he showed neutrality at best. so i think a "little bit of love/comfort" is a far stretch, currently it's more like "a little bit of safety". i too do hope their relationship will progress in the way you mentioned though.
I agree completely. calling that "love/comfort" is way too far a stretch
It's quite comfortable that even tho he suffered from abuse, at least someone is giving him a little bit of love and not using him (I really hope it continues like that
