However, given the setting, the mother of the older son still being alive or having a relationship with her child will do more harm than good. She can easily manipulate the child, and cause potential coupe in the future. It would be better for the mc to just take the child under her wing, but I doubt she would can't blame her though. Being adults if they want to solve future problems, send the 2ndFl to the countryside or something and allow letters between her and her child and monitor what she says.
For a fictional world yea, but if this was irl that would be soooo unfair to the kid, literally banishing him to the countryside coz is parents weren't married TT.TT and only being allowed to see ONE parent just coz the adults couldn't figure things out (BUT AGAIN, the dude's not the real dad and its fictional so it doesn't really matter)
