With all due respect, it's not just about summing everything up to having "a specific dick". They are two people with similar problems and opposite personalities: one has a kind personality and a bestial body and the other has a manipulative attitude, a healthy body and extreme masochistic tendencies. Even in the BDSM community it's not that common to find someone with Brett's tendencies; and finding partners who accept this level of violence against people is also not easy. When he meets Hayden, it's like a hammer and a nail or a lid and a pan, in other words, it's like finding the perfect partner.
From raws i could understand it's just not about his tendencies and the perfect partner he genuinely has a crush on the guy
I also think Brett has a crush on Hayden but for now that's all our speculation. What we know for sure so far is that he sought out Hayden because he was the most perfect partner for his tendencies.

The story explains, between chapters 5 and 6. Brett researching Hayden's background discovers that he has a medical condition that causes him to go out of control during the rut, making him a super-dominant alpha, with the ability to subjugate many other alphas. in other words, it wasn't just "almost killing an omega" that made Brett interested in Hayden, but making sure he became extremely violent and out of control during the rut, something that would immensely satisfy an extreme masochist...

He seems very emotionally stunted to me, his focus on Hayden is a bit too much for it to be just bc he'd satisfy him and his urges.
It's actually crazy you're explaining the very basic point of the plot. I think everybody has got this down. But this where the plot ends, with it's continuation naturally there will more aspects of the characters which will evolve. So I don't see the point of debating the basic fact of brett being with him as he can satisfy his masochism
I think the plot up to this point is so self-explanatory that it's even difficult to show you why you're the perfect partner for his desires. It's explicit. This is what unites two very different characters: satisfying desires and needs immediately. Of course, as the plot progresses you will see more things, but still, <spoiler> the story is told almost entirely from Hayden's point of view</spoiler>. I and almost the entire Korean public also suspect that there is a genuine crush on Brett's part, several signs indicate this (I've already read the entire 1st season in Korean), but he is the most mysterious character in the series, <spoiler> it's not Showing from his point of view what he feels for Hayden</spoiler>, so saying with certainty that there is a crush, it's not possible! All you can say is that that's what you and I suspect and that's what history apparently leads us to think. But this author really likes to put surprising twists in the story, so anything could appear in season 2, including the prospect of Brett not being at all what we expected. Let's wait....
