So apparently, Cesare is the ML. Remember how Cesare was so fond with the mermaid things and how he see Adele like a mermaid? The truth is that, Cesare met a mermaid when he was young and that mermaid was actually Adele. Cesare ask Adele to marry him but yeah I think Adele is somehow far older than Cesare? So one of Adele's sister gave up her voice to transform Adele as a human though I think conflict happen causing Adele losing her memories. The universe of this story tells that when a mermaid die and reincarnated as a human, all of her/his memories will be lost, so maybe Adele died and yeah reincarnated as a human. Also, if you are hoping that Ezra is kind? A second male lead type? The supposedly fiance of Adele? Nah, you got it wrong. He's a hypocrite, the reason why he like Adele was because she is a Buonaparte when Adele's background revealed. He cast her away telling her that she's no good to him as a noble. After that, it is when Cesare and Adele do the deed and how Cesare confessed but yeah lol Adele didn't hear him and that fool leave the morning so Adele assume that he only wants her body. There are a lot of things that will happen here such gambling (apparently Cesare was so bad at it), flirting, deceiving, murder, bullying, so on... Futher, there is a scene here when a banquet happen and there is a test for a noble and the brother should tell their sister that but Cesare didn't and leave Adele alone so nobles feasted on her, she was getting bullied by noble girls who likes Cesare and harass by perverts and she thinks that Cesare will help her as a sister but that mtf Cesare just watched it.
