I like they died together and with each other cuz death's always follow them (Alan's illness) it would be more painful if the other person died while living their other half waiting and longing for them

yeah right, after reading this - i really feel happy yet miserable. I'm happy that at the end, even they're death - they're still together. That put them in peace, after all, them living is like some sort of hell. yet I feel miserable on what they've gone through, poor dudes.
If they both die together I'll take this as happy ending cuz they both die with each other away from suffering in the world, they already found their home and peace. In the next life they'll find each other and will live a peaceful and more happy life together
