Hahhh I'm just dreading next season tbh...

I just pitied Doc Dan for the past 50+ chapters, and I barely saw any if there were "character development" from Jaekyung. I'm curious how the author is going to convinced me that Jaekyung actually deserves Doc Dan back in his life. I don't want another: you are mine, you can't leave _despite the trash-ass way I treat you_I will find you - ML stereotype with this story. Jaekyungs POV and character development better be a Christmas miracle before we hop back on the boat. Or if we ever attempt to hop back on the boat of 'mehhh....fine I'll concede'. The art was the ONLY saving grace besides Doc Dan being such a sweet child. At least this gives me time to rebuild my tolerance for Jaekyung before the next season starts LOL

I’m actually pretty hopeful that it will not be just another « you are mine » story. Cause like, every reader really hates Jae. Cause he has been thoroughly depicted as a piece of shit through the whole season (just little specks of basic human decency to explain Dan’s crush). He has no friends, most of his coworkers despise him, everybody has told him he had a shitty personality. Even his manager who professionally appreciates him couldn’t stand him toward the end. Us hating him really seemed to be the point of the season.

So depicting him as an ass was the author’s goal, and it has been completely well depicted through the whole story. His personality contrasts even more with Dan being a sweet angel.

So if the author wants us to like him ending with Dan, considering how they’ve told their story so fa, they must be pretty conscious that they will have to work hard on making him likeable. So yeah, I’m pretty hopeful. It will propably hurt, but it should be satisfying
